Over half the world’s population now live in cities and estimates suggest that 180 000 people join the urban population, globally, each day. Urbanization appears to be inexorable and inevitable. The urban landscape has become an indelible part of the human psyche and hence the human aesthetic. This exhibition seeks to portray different responses to the city.
